Breathless Project ("we", "us") operates a community DayZ PVE server, a Discord server, the website at breathlesspve.com, and a Discord bot. This policy explains what personal data we process and why. We aim to collect only what is needed to run the community.
1. Data We Collect
- Discord account data — your Discord ID, username, and avatar, obtained when you log in with Discord or interact with our bot.
- Game identifiers — your in-game name (IGN), Steam64 ID, and country, when you register for the leaderboard.
- Activity data — kills, votes, playtime and similar in-game statistics used for leaderboards.
- Contribution data — records of shop contributions: item, amount, date, and the PayPal transaction ID.
- Consent records — when you make a contribution, we record the date, time and your IP address to evidence acceptance of our terms.
- Support data — messages and information you provide in tickets, reviews, or appeals.
2. Why We Use It
- To operate the server, leaderboards, bot features and the website.
- To process and deliver voluntary contributions and associated perks.
- To enforce our rules and keep the community safe (including ban management).
- To provide support and respond to disputes, including payment disputes.
3. Third Parties
We share data only as needed with:
- Discord — for login (OAuth) and bot functionality.
- PayPal — to process contributions. PayPal handles your payment details directly; we never see your card or bank information. See PayPal's own privacy policy.
- CFTools / game-server tooling — for in-game session and statistics data.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
4. Storage & Retention
Data is stored on our private server database, accessible only to authorised staff. We keep data for as long as your account is active in the community or as needed to provide services and resolve disputes. Consent and transaction records may be retained longer where required for financial or legal reasons.
5. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To do so, open a ticket on our Discord server. We will respond within a reasonable time. Note that deleting certain data (e.g. registration) may remove your access to related features.
6. Children
Our services follow Discord's minimum age requirement. The server is not directed at children below that age, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our Discord. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
8. Contact
For any privacy question or request, open a ticket on our Discord server.
